Q: Is all Smoked Salmon the same?

 

A: Definitely not! Smoked Salmon, like all other products must be labeled according to British Consumer Law. Some producers have got around this by cleverly wording their product description. We sell, “Smoked Scottish Salmon” which means the salmon we smoke comes from Scotland. Other producers have been labeling their goods. “Scottish Smoked Salmon” which can mean, salmon sourced anywhere in the world, but smoked in Scotland. There are a number of companies from Poland doing this using cheap imported fish.      

 

Q: Can I alter my Order once I have confirmed it?

 

A: You will need to contact the admin team on 01324 716616 a minimum of 3 days prior to the day of dispatch. There is a charge of £3.00 per delivery address to carry out your alteration instructions. During our peak winter season (October to January 4th) the minimum notice to change is extended to 3 weeks.

 

Q: Can I send Smoked Salmon to more than one address?

 

A: YES. Please contact us on 01324 716616 and let us know how many products you want to send out. Once we know what you want we will ask you to send name, address and e-mail address of recipients. We’ll do the rest for you.

 

Q: Can I collect my Smoked Salmon order from your premises?

 

A: YES, of course. We would love to meet you too! Just order and tell us when you are going to pick it up and we will have it ready at the Shop for you

 

Q: How are Smoked Salmon orders sent?

 

A: Orders are sent by Parcel Force next day delivery service. Your goods will be packed straight from the Kiln to ensure freshness and dispatched the same day.

 

Q: Do you only ship to the UK?

 

A: No we will consider shipping to all European countries however please contact us by phone to confirm first.

 

Q: What is the shelf life of your Smoked Salmon?

 

A: Shelf life of smoked Salmon is around four weeks from date of production. They should be kept refrigerated and are suitable for freezing. As already explained above we dispatch straight from our kiln same day, to ensure you have maximum shelf life. Other seafood products will vary, please call or e-mail for advice.

 

 

Q: Can I order Smoked Salmon now and have the product delivered at a later date?

 

A: Yes you can, please drop us an e-mail once you have placed your order letting us know when you want the product to arrive.

 

Q: I am nervous about placing credit card details online. Is there any other way I can order from you?

 

 

A: Of course! However our shop operates under a secure server ensuring your details are safe. As soon as we have processed your order, your credit card details are deleted from our records. If you prefer to order by telephone you can call us on 01324 716616. Please let us know that you are calling about a web site sale to ensure you retain your 20% discount. You can pay by cheque or bank transfer; we will need funds to clear before dispatch so please take this into consideration.

 

Q: What is the delivery charge?      

 

A: Delivery charge is a fixed amount of £8.00 for goods up to 30kg.
